No more records please!

There is so much snow now that if we put snowshoes on the horses around here they could walk over the fences to visit each other! I was looking forward to this snowy day. I would get to stay inside, read, sew, sip hot chocolate, watch a movie, bake cookies.....but, the dogs were going crazy and whining. I looked around and got it. They couldn't get out their dog door to do their thing. I donned all my winter gear and headed out to clear them a bathroom. Toto got done quickly and headed back indoors. Ping was a trooper. He stayed out with me as I cleared the porch and a path to the back door by the garage. It is blizzard conditions right now so it is covering things back up as quickly as I clear it. Charlie is at the hospital with his 4 wheel drive truck at the ready to ferry nurses to and from work. The storm is set to stop just about the time he will be home from work. The snowplow is waiting for him.
