Iron County had a snow day Monday. The first snow day in 61 years!! Brent loved it. Nobody came into the bank so he could sit in his office and get lots done.
The snow then moved over to the Denver area. I got a text from Stephanie Tuesday morning. It had been snowing nonstop from Monday so her kids got a snow day. Zoe couldn't believe all the snow and said, "When is the snowing going to cease?" Cease? Where did you learn that word?
Back to Brent. He went to a groundbreaking. (As a commercial loan officer he does this quite a bit.) At this one they used a backhoe instead of a shovel. After the bucket full of dirt was moved and the festivities progressed, he noticed the backhoe was still on. He had some experience so jumped in and had some fun. (Size of their toys, right?)
Amazing what you can find on the internet. I googled my first elementary school in Chula Vista. It looks the same after 57 years!!!!!! How well I remember playing over by one of these class buildings with Diane when a bee landed on me. She said to stand so still just as the bell rang to line up. Everybody lined up but I stood real still. Her teacher came over and waved the bee away. I remember it as if it were yesterday! Melissa Grow (lives in San Diego) says that Chula Vista is now the ghetto of San Diego. Maybe that's why the school hasn't changed. No money.
