How sweet it is!

It's been awhile since I blogged but it's because I am still intimidated by all this technology. Last night I had a WAY cool reason to blog. Once a year, Chuck gets 4 corporate box tickets to an Eagles game in Philly. He grabbed the Thanksgiving Day game against the Cardinals. Andy came up from DC with a friend. We scarfed down the turkey dinner so we could get to the real reason for our thanks this day. What a wild night! You have probably heard about the Philly fans. They began tailgating in the parking lots during the daylight hours. There were more than a few motor homes detailed in Eagle green with tents, televisions, barbecues, games, and even (I am NOT making this up!) a makeshift outhouse where you could see the man from the knees down as he urinated on the asphalt. It is no wonder why the fans are so rude. They are so drunk by the time the game starts! We had to step over one drunk fan and made our way around another one on the ground once inside the gates. We took the elevator up to the skybox and then felt safe.

We arrived to a heated suite and a buffet of food. (Crabcakes, jumbo shrimp, hoagie sandwiches, chicken, chilli, nachos, salads, etc.) All this for the 20 people from Community Health Systems. (The dessert cart came around later.) And like we needed it....3 televisions broadcasting the game. One in the front by our seats, one over the buffet, and the other over the refrigerator . (Stocked with anything you want!)

We watched the first half with our windows open to the crowd to get the full exciting experience. The staff came and closed them for the last half as we warmed up and drank hot chocolate. The Eagles did not disappoint. We left happy and full, Eagles 48 - Cardinals 20.

That is crazy! What a fun time and on the Thanksgiving game of all games he could have gotten! Someone commented to Wyck last week that he couldn't wait for Thanksgiving and all the football. Then he made the side comment, "Yeah, some people think Thanksgiving is about FAMILIES!" Maybe he was from Philly. Watching from the box sounds like a surreal experience. And truth be told, I was secretly hoping the friend Andy brought might have been a cute girl from his ward. I scrolled down and the picture told otherwise. Oh well. Glad you enjoyed your day!
