7 things Kimberly doesn't know about me.

Yes, I am doing this for you, Kimberly. The guilties got me. I am still really bad at this blog thing so the pictures are here but might not be in the right order. btw How do you move a picture around after it has been uploaded? jw
1. I love the spotlight. (You already knew this because I am , after all, a Farnsworth.) But did you know that I sang in dancebands for 15 years? I started at BYU with Sound Judgement, Rosewood, Love Syndicate, and Delegation. I took 11 years off to have a family then the stage called again! Easy Street was the last band. My last gig was in 1998. Do I miss it? NO. I think I finally got it out of my system.
2. I love golf courses!!!!! I don't love to golf, just being on them. They are the most beautiful, serene places on earth. It's like a mad competition but everyone has be quiet. The fact that Charlie is an avid golfer might have something to do with it. My favorite date is going golfing with him. He golfs and I drive the cart. My favorite family home evening was the whole family golfing. We divided up into teams and each team took turns hitting the same ball. Fabulous.

3. I live in Heaven. Let me explain. I have dreamed my whole life of visiting Hershey, PA.
I am a true chocoholic. I live about an hour away now. My favorite time to go is in the off season. No crowds and all the chocolate in the world just dying to be bought and smelled.

Along with the chocoate comes all the history that I live around. I am a true lover of history. I discover another place every day to explore. Pennsylvania is a history buff's paradise. Yes, I live in heaven.
4. I love football. I didn't always love football. Back in the day when the kids were all home and football was the center of the world and on Monday nights, our family home evening lessons had to be as short as half-time. I complained a lot. After all the kids left home I began getting calls from them on Monday night during half-time. I began watching football
and anticipating those phone calls. Football reminded them of family!! How could I not love football? Now I have even been to an NFL game!! GO EAGLES!!

5. Probably the best day I ever spent (Not counting getting married and giving birth.) was the day my Dad and I hiked to Delicate Arch. It was his 80th birthday and I was living in Moab. I got Grandma and Grandpa to come down to see a musical at the High School I was playing for. The next morning Dad and I took off before Grandma could say, no. The weather was perfect. It was fantabulous to be able to have my Dad all to myself (that rarely happened growing up in a family of nine kids) and to show him one of God's wonders. It takes your breath away as you round the last trail and open up onto such beauty. A beautiful day I will never forget.

6. I would be a true outdoor person if it wasn't for the cold. I love being outdoors but hate to be cold. I guess Moab was a great fit for me. I could hike and then sleep in my own bed. Did I mention I also HATE to camp!! Okay...not a true outdoor person. Okay, I love to go places as long as there is a Hilton at the other end.
This picture is of me on a hike with Andy right after he got off his mission.

7. I hate getting old. I have to exercise more and eat less. I hurt somewhere all the time. I want to play and be young forever. Wait! I get to do that next month! I get to fly to Utah and do nothing but play with my grandchildren for 2 weeks!!! How cool is that? Getting old has its perks after all.

Yeah! You did it! I LOVE it! I learned some very interesting things about my cool Aunt Nancy, too. So that's where Chelsea gets her band talent, eh? I love how you put up with football and can appreciate what it gave your family. There's more than one way to arrive at the "tree" if you know what I mean. I won't fight Monday night football so much now. I want to come visit you in PN and see all the cool history sites around you...oh and buy a years supply of chocolate!

Well. . . I guess you don't have to do it for me now, but if you want to I bet you could come up with 7 more. :-) Thanks for saying FHE works even if not "ideal". I wish I could have seen you, mom, and Dad in YA. Maybe we'll come visit to get some history sometime soon!

Those were 7 things Melissa didn't know either! I love family and technology! It's fun to stay in touch and learn more about each other. And by the way, since I've been in Arizona the last 2 and half year, I'm sorry to say that the phrase we say around here is "Go Cards!"
