I have decided to post ONE picture blogs. It will reduce my stress level greatly. You are looking at my one head of broccoli that I am so very proud of. Let me explain.
I love to work in my yard but didn't want to have a postage stamp, square garden. I was ever so creative in planting my vegetables amongst the flowers. You really can't tell I have a vegetable garden at all. (Oh, but I do! Carrots, beets, beans, peas, spinach, zuchini, and broccoli.) We have really enjoyed the carrot salad with raisins, zuchini with everything from spices to butter to cheese to burgers, etc. You know zuchini. The peas never made it into the house. Yum. We are trying hard to eat the last of the beans. The spinach looks nice so why eat it. The beets are not my favorite so they are still in the ground. And then there is the broccoli!!! I love broccoli. I planted a lot against the fence. It has such beautiful big leaves that are quite lacey, full, and attractive. So where is the broccoli?! I found it today. There it is. I had to take a picture because I threw it away. It was like the way bitterest stuff I have ever tried. Next year....no broccoli.
