Have you ever wondered what toddlers are really thinking? A while back, I had a friend over who has a 4 year old boy. His mother asked to put in a dvd and asked if I had any church ones. We are talking a strict mother here. No "Yo Gabba Gabba" (even if it was done by Mormons.), no "Wonder pets" (Yes I have it and even Chuck knows the songs.), and not even any "Thomas the Tank Engine." She chose the church dvd we all got in the Ensign "Finding Faith in Christ." It settled the 4 year old right down. I watched him watch it as his mother said, "Look, there is Jesus." And then it hit me. He is watching actual video pictures of Jesus. He thinks that there is the real Jesus on my screen that somebody took a video of. (Sorry about ending the sentence with a preposition. I'm not being graded on this so I don't care.)
Last weekend my daughters were in town with 2 of my grandkids. We got on Skype and called the other 2 grandkids across the country. Zoe (4) and Erica (2) were just chatting away with each other over the airwaves. Erica then jumped down from her dad's lap, ran towards the door and shouted over her shoulder, "Come on, Zoe. Let's go play outside!"
I love it when she kisses me goodby.
