Two years ago, as we drove through Pennsylvania on our way to our new home, I made it a goal to buy an Amish quilt. The next year and a half I checked in many Amish shops and looked at quilts. They are exquisitely hand stitched, gorgeous....AND EXPENSIVE! The queen size quilts started at $1500 and went up from there. Okay....I will buy a twin quilt. They are only $1000 and up. Well, maybe I will just buy a pillow sham; only a few hundred dollars. After awhile I decided that I would admire them and take pictures.
Last night, the love of my life went to a fundraiser/auction for the local YMCA. (I stayed home on the couch nursing a virus and watching the Phillies beat the Dodgers.) In the 6th inning, my beloved walked in with an Amish quilt!!!! Isn't it gorgeous!?! $425.00. Happy Anniversary, honey!

That is a bargain! What a great hubbie! Mine doesn't have a clue what I'd really like, even though I email hints. Haha! It's beautiful!!!
