Oh No! It happened!

We live in the heart of Amish country. We love it. It is so much fun to see them out and about with their humble ways. They have signs out by all there shops that say "No Sunday Sales." We could take a lesson from that page. In Lancaster they are a tourist attraction and you pay money to have your picture taken with them. Out here they are our neighbors.

It is so much fun to pass them on the road; see their children walking home from school all together in a little bunch with their hats, bonnets, and lunch pails; working together as a family on their farms and in their flower gardens; and attending church each Sunday in their Sunday best. (They take turns meeting at each other's farms. You always know where they are meeting because you follow the horse poop on the road.)

There are 3 brothers whose farms are around our sub-division. It is a very common sight to see them around here as they share farm equipment and work horses. Right now is a very busy time as they are harvesting their corn and tobacco. The women are taking orders for home-made pies for the upcoming holidays. Soon the children will be coming door to door to sell produce. What a fun place to live.
The other day I was in a hurry and got stuck behind an Amish buggy on a rural road going uphill. (Couldn't see to go around him until we got to the top of the hill.) I COMPLAINED!!! OH NO!!!! Nancy....Read your own blog.
