I found my corner!

I have been wanting to check out Intercourse, PA since I moved here. It is just 20 miles north of us deep in Amish country. It is right near Nickle Mines where that terrible tragedy occurred a few years back at the Amish schoolhouse. I decided to just take a day and do it. What an amazing find. It is my newest, favorite place to play. There is a quilt museum; Amish made jams, jellies, and baked goods (sticky buns to die for, shoofly pie, etc.); music boxes; framed art and art prints; the Candle Barn (SOOO cool); pretzel factory; fudge shop mmmmmm; and I could go on. It is genuine Amish in the middle of a tourist heaven. There were a few buses of senior citizen tourists milling around and enjoying the live music and the Christmas season. They pretty much stayed in the Kettle Korner touristy area and I ventured onto Main Street. It was incredible! There is actually a store that sells Amish clothes, underwear, hairnets, hats, material, and stuff. That's where I found my corner. SO, the next time anyone comes to visit we are going to Intercourse, PA. (The name is the only uncomfortable thing about the place.)

Check out the adorable Amish nativity!

I'm coming with my mom sometime!!!! We have a little place here called Old Town Spring that is this tiny little town with the coolest shops. Sounds like a great place for a girls weekend. We need to set a date when my mom gets home from her mission!!!
