The CEO's wife

Sometimes it is a great advantage to be the wife of the boss. During a hospital stay I was brought my breakfast by the dietary manager with flowers. I get extra attention in the emergency room. I am put first on surgery day. When in need of a lab test, I am given preferential treatment. The department manager will personally do my mammograms. I try not to namedrop (unless I want to) so sometimes it takes awhile for some employees to figure out who I am. Yesterday was flu shot day. I was in line with the other employees, filled out the neccesary paperwork, and waited patiently. My turn came and the nurse administering the shot was most pleaseant and relaxed. When she saw my paperwork she said, "I knew you looked familiar." All of a sudden she was stressed and uptight. Not a good thing when you are holding a needle. The shot hurt like crazy. It then began to bleed and she got even more flustered. Come to think of it.....the nurse in the ER (back during my kidney stone saga) took 3 pokes to get my IV started. I better quit name dropping.

Ooooo, yeah. Hide the name - unless you get pulled over by a mean policeman who may use the hospital's services at some point.
