Hot Rain

Megan and Karen said they loved the 'hot rain.'  It made me think.  I love it, too.  In Utah, when it rains, it is cold.  The raindrops are always cold.  No matter how hot it is, when it rains, the raindrops are cold and the air cools off really quick.
The other day it rained.  It was 90 degrees outside and it rained.  When it started to rain it didn't cool off much.  We got to maybe 85.  The raindrops were warm.  As the rain hit the asphalt, it made steam.  So cool to be so warm.  It was awesome.
It rained for a quick few minutes and then it stopped.  The steam rose up and the sun came out.
A little while later it started clouding up again.  There were white, white clouds being pushed away by the black ones.  A good game of sky tag.

It started raining again.  I stood there in the garage door and listened.  It was amazing.  Do you know the sound that a raindrop makes as it hits a leaf? Multiply that sound by a kabillion trillion!  The birds and insects are deathly quiet as they hide from the rain.  All you hear are the smpfth, smpth. spmthfth  sounds of all those raindrops.  And they are warm.
Yep.  I like hot rain, too.
