Chelsea had been in Europe for 2 weeks playing bass for the band CB7 who was opening for Thirty Seconds to Mars. They played Switzerland, France, and Italy. (She gave me her backstage all access pass.)

The tour ended and the band was staying in Europe but Chelsea had to get back to Los Angeles to work. She scheduled a 2 day layover so she could come see us. She flew into JFK in NYC on Tuesday evening. We hadn't heard from her so assumed she was staying in New York for the night. She had left her phone in LA so there was no communicating with her unless she called. I know my daughter so I had made sure to e-mail her my phone number. I totally knew she didn't know it. I guess she got to NYC and found a computer. She wrote down the phone number on her hand but wrote it down wrong!! She went through quite a few quarters calling wrong numbers. In a panic she got to Penn station and caught the train to Philadelphia. Once in Philly, she found a kind Officer Jackson working the nightshift at 30th street station. He let her get on his computer and found my number again. He let her borrow his cell phone to call. The call came at 1:30 am!! Charlie and I got up and headed into Philly to rescue our baby. (30th street station in Philly is way famous and gorgeous!! Check out those fluted pillars!) We got home about 4:00. Poor Charlie had to wake up at 6:30 to get to work!

So worth it to have our baby home safe.
We put her on a plane in Baltimore on Thursday. She is off again to LA to pursue her music career. I just love how all her tours seem to take her through or close to Philly!
