Not a problem. Next year I will stay away from that patch of 3 leaf plants.
About a week before we went on our cruise in May, I was pulling these rope-like vine things off the trees in Narnia. They had FIVE leaves on them. Count them!!
Yep. I came down with a real good rash that I got to take on the cruise with me. When they say it can last for 2 to 3 weeks, they aren't kidding. I went to google to learn more about this vine on my trees and it is indeed poison ivy! Okay. What's with the 3 leaves bit? Most of my trees look like this!
So......I learned that 3 leaves, let it be and ragged rope, don't be a dope.
So....I was very careful last week to stay away from the trees. We changed locations for our fire so we had to transfer a lot of the cut vegetation from one place to another. Guess what was in the first pile of vegetation? All that poison ivy that Charlie had stripped off the trees!!!!!
Guess I will be miserable for the next 3 weeks. I think my time in Narnia is over.
I can't help but think of my poor little brother, Brad. He was SOOO allergic to poison ivy when we were in Missouri. I remember a few times when he would lie in his bed and cry for days. Now I know why!! Poor little thing had it all over his little body from head to toe! I can't even imagine the misery. I guess I get to take my rash to Utah for our family reunion. I will go right to Brad for some sympathy. He will understand.
