Oh no! The milestone!

So, it is now February.  My birthday month.  Normally this is no big deal.  This year, I will be 60.  SIXTY!  When did that happen?  I have been stressing or obsessing a little too much.  Afterall, it's just a number.  So, here is what I have been thinking.
1988 and my Mom was 60.

I am NOT as old as my mother was when she was 60.
I wear more jewelry and less make-up.  The only make-up that covers these wrinkles is a scarf.
I have to exercise more and eat less just to maintain my weight.
People don't ask anymore if I color my hair.  It's pretty obvious.
I teach the 8/9 year olds in Primary.  They just let me know I am older than their grandmothers.
I never have to put my luggage in the overhead compartment.  Some young man will always jump up and do it for me.
I always get a seat on the bus or the metro.
My bones and joints are more reliable than the weatherman when it comes to rain or snow.
We aren't expected to attend the Ward Halloween or Christmas parties because we are the old couple. (This is a definite plus.)
I tend to forget a lot, sometimes even mid sentence.  I don't care.  Especially when talking to other old people, because they won't remember that I forgot.  They are too busy trying to remember what they forgot.
SIXTY!   Bring it on!

I'm going to be there too soon! That picture doesn't seem very long ago.

Ok, I just tried to enter this comment 4 times!!! I can't identify the characters proving I'm not a robot. How embarrassing. I'm definitely going to hit the milestone too soon!
