Just spent a week in Provo with Dad. I always take some summer clothes because he keeps the heat up to 75 and 77 in the house. It snowed yesterday. The sun came out and it was gorgeous. I went out in my sweater to shovel the snow. It was SOOOO warm! The thermometer read 32 degrees.
Today I am back in Pennsylvania. It is drizzly and windy. I am in my sweater and coat with gloves. I am freezing!! The thermometer says 50 degrees. Like I told Dad, "The cold weather is so warm here in Utah!"
Friday was my birthday, so my sisters, brother and Dad took me to lunch at Thanksgiving Point Harvest Restaurant. We had a room to ourselves. It was so much fun to sit around and complain about our gray hair, stiff joints, and ailing bodies. Yes, we have come to that.
Brent brought his family up on Saturday. They came thru a real good Utah snowstorm. Brent was able to shovel all the snow for Grandpa. I took the family to the University mall and we let the kids play in the treehouse and climb on the dinosaur bones followed by dinner in the food court. Jackson and Erica cleaned me out of all my pennies making wishes out loud and throwing the pennies in the water down by Macy's at the foot bridge. We all went to church on Sunday with Dad. They left after church to go back to Cedar City.

Monday night was a family meeting. We needed to get some information and start to plan for the future, the house, Dad's care, etc. How I love my family. There is never a disagreement, cross word, unreal expectations, or anything. We are 100% devoted to taking the best care of our Dad in his 90's. Can I say how great my brother is? Totally! He is our rock to lean on forever. So trusting of all the decisions he makes. A man of integrity to the core. Did I say how great he is? Totally.
Today is February 27th and I am back to my routine with an extra kick in my step after having been loved by my Dad and siblings. So glad that families are forever!!

I love those people. So jealous you got my mom for a week. I really do need to come see you. And I don't think 60 is old either. :)
