Just reliving the luxury!

We flew on the 9th to Fort Lauderdale and hooked up with Charlie's sister, DeAnn and her hubby Warren. We boarded the Ruby Princess on the 10th. Goodbye Fort Lauderdale.
See the big gorilla in the background? We watched movies up on deck whenever we wanted. "Gravity" was cool. The U2 concert groovy. "Captain Phillips"...really? Keep a watch out for pirates!

First port was Nassau, Bahamas. We found this pirate museum. We love museums! Learned a lot about the pirates of the Bahamas and had fun too. Forgot to take pictures inside. (Too busy learning.)
Seeing the City of Atlantis was enough for us. No need to taxi over to Touristland.

Next port was the Island Cay (or the Princess Cruise island where you just lay on the beach, swim, and eat.) The only way there was by the lifeboats. We opted to stay aboard the nearly abandoned ship and enjoy the sun and quiet. Getting sick on the choppy waters wasn't appealing to either of us.
See the two ladies in the water on the right?  They had matching bathing suits!! Twinners! I soooo bad wanted to take a picture of them as they walked by. I wanted to blog on "Who wore it best." I decided not to because neither of them wore it best!! I have never seen so much exposed cellulite, flab, and woggly skin being paraded for all to see.
Next stop was Grand Turk.
That is Charlie over there by the big bird statue. The girls wouldn't walk fast enough and there were more people coming.
That's right. Me and Captain John Glenn!  I didn't know he splashed down just a mile from this island. Who knew? There used to be an air force base here and everything! The base is long gone, but the memories live on. Charlie didn't think that was a full scale model of the Mercury Capsule.  Oh yes. That's why Dad didn't get any further in the space program. He was too big. They made him fly those  F-4s and stuff and break the sound barrier and fly to the edge of space and stuff.
Charlie slept most of the cruise. Everytime he sat down, he closed his eyes.  I let him sleep, because when we get home, the  'honey-do'  list begins!
First thing Saturday morning, the fork lift parade began. We were kicked out of our state rooms at 8 am. They had to get the 3500 passengers off by noon so the new 3500 passengers could board for their cruise.  We took a taxi to the airport and were off for home and  official retirement as an old couple. (And Charlie will NEVER go back to work!)
