I am totally loving having a husband retired. My favorite thing is going someplace with him in his truck. Just the two of us in his truck is the best! We have made more than our fair share of trips to the dump lately. (In the truck which I love.) Our palm trees (All of St George's palm trees) suffered from the record cold here in St. George. We had to cut off the dead palm leaves and take them to the dump. You can't mulch them or take them to a green waste area because they tear up the chipper and shredders. So...Farnsworth moment coming...we are out at the dump and Charlie is unloading all the garbage palms and I am in the cab of the truck having just opened a pack of lifesavers. I tore off a little bit of the wrapper, rolled it up in my fingers and wondered, "Where shall I throw this piece of garbage?" I looked all around the truck for a small sack or something. Nothing. And then it hit me. ....... I am in a dump! DUH! So I threw it out the window.

I received some pictures in the mail today from Charlie's sister, DeAnn. They are of the cruise so here they are!

| First picture, before you are even on the boat! So eager to go. |

| Are we a couple of old tourists or what? |
 |
| Last dinner in the dining room. For the record...this year is Charlie's 65th birthday and his sister's 75th. It is Warren and DeAnn's 50th anniversary and our 40th...hence we be cruisin' together. |
And last of all.....It took 4 days!? We scheduled a company to come and re-do the duct work in our house. The plenum was too small for the amount of air the heater was trying to push out and the rest of the duct work was too small so there were constant whistling noises from the vents. The house was uneven in the air flow. The receptionist scheduled Monday and Tuesday. Fine. Someone had already been by the house to look at the needs and gave us a bid. Monday they showed up to measure (didn't you do that when you looked at it and came up with the bid?) and stayed 3 hours. Real friendly dudes, but come on, I want my house back! Tuesday they showed up in force in 3 trucks and began demolition. It was loud and dusty but a means to an end. After the mandatory lunch break and 3:00 quitting time, they were far from done. Wednesday they came back and attacked it again. By now, all the insulation that WAS in the attic (which was poor at best) was now on the floor in my kitchen. They were mostly done by 3:00 quitting time. (And, by the way, Tuesday, one of the workers put a hole in the ceiling with his knee) (It gave Charlie something to do while we were waiting for them to be done. They were amazed at my husband's sheet rock skills. Can't even tell there was a hole.) They showed back up Thursday to finish up and blow new insulation into the attic and the garage attic as well. This was a total add on that we requested. The workers were done by 2:00. It took another hour for the main man to measure again and figure out our bill. And because he forgot to take off the money he would have had to pay a sheetrock guy, Charlie hired him to come back and relocate the air-conditioner. He will adjust the bill for that. I don't mind. Take 4 more days if you want....Charlie will be here.
