Ludicrous

I got my first phone book and remarked that I really didn't need one because I could find anything I wanted online now. I put it on a shelf in a closet.
I found another phone book on my doorstep a few days later and added it to the first one.
Yesterday there was another phone book at my doorstep!!  Really?! No one needs these anymore!  Oh, I get it. It is a business (3 businesses) that make their money by selling advertising to put in a phonebook that nobody needs. So what do we do with these books we no longer need?
Some kids showed up soon after with a big bag, collecting these phonebooks for their school!!! What does the school do with them? They take them to the recycle plant and receive money for them for their school!! It is the American way. Chop down trees to make paper, sell the paper to businesses who charge others to print their message on the paper that no one will see, collect the paper and sell it for money, so more paper can be sold to businesses to make more money, to be collected and sold, and on and on and on. Ludicrous!
