So we missed the weekend of the chalk festival because it rained non-stop. We toodled out to Kayenta a week later to see the permanent art work and most of the chalk paintings were still there. Seems the rain delayed the festival a little, but when they finally laid down their masterpieces, the wet ground made for some pretty spectacular works.
