My Turn

So...Raelene and Yvonne have been taking Jana up to Huntsman Cancer Center for her chemo. I could do that!  So I left Monday and stayed with Yvonne that night.  So fun when sisters get together!! And we didn't even do anything but just be together!!  Tuesday I picked up Jana and we headed up the hill.  Poor thing! Her port wasn't working well so they had to replace the needle part. but they still couldn't get any blood work out of it so they had to poke her in a vein.  They were just about going to have to poke her for the IV infusion until a nurse 'tried something different' and Voila! The port opened.  We got out of there by 7:00, headed over to Chik Fil a for dinner and then to DSW to buy new shoes. I took Jana home to bed and headed south again to stay with Yvonne.  Perk of staying with Yvonne was getting to see Keith, Danny and Kayla when they came by.  Danny and Kayla had just gotten back from Bulgaria and brought me this chocolate bar!

I don't know why it is upside down!! It's right side up in my picture library. Weird. Must be that it's from Bulgaria. You wouldn't be able to read it anyway if it was right side up.
Anyhoo, the next day I ran up to get Jana again to take her to her Infectious Disease doctor. She had developed a dilly of an infection and had been on IV antibiotics for 2 weeks. Poor thing....as if the cancer wasn't enough!  Everything looked good, but the girl doc had to confer with her associate.  He walked in looking like Clark Kent! Good looking with glasses.  He gave Jana a good report! Thanks, Superman. She doesn't have to come back to them unless another problem crops up which it better not. We left, stopping by the fabric store on the way to the pharmacy to get the now oral antibiotics she will still take. Problem (always is when the insurance company is involved) so they will call the doctor while we go to lunch. Lunch was Cafe Rio. Super Yum. When we got back to the pharmacy, the doctor had called the insurance company and convinced them that the Doxicycline was the only drug that would work so then they decided to pay for it. (Somewhere in there we stopped at Cummings chocolates and bought a pound!) I took Jana home to rest. So much fun!  We didn't really do anything, just doctors, food, pharmacy, and talk. You just can't beat sisters being together no matter the occasion!  I LOVE my sisters!!!!!
I stopped on my way home at Fashion Place Mall.  I hadn't been there in 8 years.  Wow! So much improved with now  Nordstroms and The Lego Store!  Spent too much money. I ran into this storm on I-15 which brought everybody to a crawl.  You can't tell, but those are marble sized hail slushy stones hitting the windshield.

It rained most of the way home. After being rainy and cold for 3 days, I was glad to be back in St. George where it will be 90 degrees tomorrow.
Today Charlie helped me string up my new chandelier!!!! Don't you love it?

Backing up 3 days.....because I don't know how to add pictures sometimes without messing up the whole order of the blog. I went on Monday, Mom's birthday, to the cemetery before going to Yvonne's.  Took a selfie with my parents. That is not a monster above me, just my shadow taking the selfie.

Debbie took a turn in July!  Yes,  I edited this post.
