Just had to start with a picture. BTW, the older I get the less of me you'll see in selfies. My arm is just not long enough to get far enough away that you can't see the wrinkles.
This is a museum in the heart of Washington, Utah. I have passed it like a kabillion times, each time saying, "I need to stop in and see that." I finally did. This was cotton central back in the day. The cotton factory is just up the road and is still there! Except now it is the Star Nursery. This building functioned as a meeting house and school. Lots of antiques and stuff inside. The coolest though, were the grade books dating back to the 1920's! Looks like the teachers gave a lot of C's.
Anyway.....I now understand. I have become the old lady driver that annoyed me beyond belief!!! Let me tell you about that old lady driver. She was probably retired, wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere, loved to look around as she drove, enjoyed listening to the music in the car, relished the breeze wafting in through the open windows,...well, you get the picture. It is now me. I empathize with the younger drivers around me trying to get somewhere fast. I try to get out of their way. And bonus.....I am getting 53 mpg in my Prius.
