We attended the Valley Center ward each Sunday. They announced that Mormon Night at the Padre stadium was coming up, so..... A stake president threw out the first pitch, Mormon volunteers lined the baselines, a Scout troop did the flag ceremony, and then Alex Boye came out to sing the National Anthem. All pretty cool.

Downtown San Diego was gorgeous once you got past the homeless people.
|
Petco Park and there were no pets allowed.
We had brought our temple stuff to do a session at the San Diego temple. The temple is gorgeous on the outside. The temple desk was beautiful as you could look out in two directions through beautiful glass doors floor to ceiling. That's as far as we got. Charlie's recommend had expired!! He made it up to me by finding a Baskin Robbins nearby before returning to Valley Canter and more work.

The truck got to see as much as we did.

At least we were there with good intentions.
On another day we wound our way down to Champagne Dr. and the Lawrence Welk museum. It is only about 15 minutes from Andy's house. It was pretty sad actually. It is in the lobby of a theater. It doesn't look like they take very good care of everything and it has become an afterthought. I guess all of the seniors who liked it are mostly dead. Mom and Dad would have LOVED it!!!
