Long overdue weekend project

So....I guess we are pretty private people. Like, I don't want the neighbors having a barbecue and everybody eating looking into our backyard because their property is elevated 4 feet above ours.
I like having nice looking things to look at in my backyard....not a greenhouse, garage shed, and chicken coop covered with a tarp and a number of old boards to hold it down.
I doubt the neighbors on the left were going to lower their yard and house, nor the neighbors on the right were going to get rid of their menagerie of chickens, turtles, clotheslines, sheds, excess water barrels, or other stuff.
The solution was to raise our fence!!  Done and we love it!!

This is almost a before picture.  I didn't get it until a whole row of bricks were already placed.

Sure, it looks like a good high fence here until you get on their side.  Then it is only 3 feet high
Today I was able to go out on the porch in my nightgown and I did'nt see any evidence of chickens!!
