Livin' in San Marcelino

We met Andy in Rome for our week vacation. He lives south of Rome in San Marcelino. (2 hours) There was NO way I was flying all the way to Italy and NOT seeing where my son lived and worked. After begging, he took us to his place for one night. So cool because he lives near Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. (Yes, we went to Pompeii. Future blog.)
He lives in a tri-plex shared with 2 other American families.
(Pic at left is his third.)

It is a bachelor pad of all bachelor pads. He originally didn't want us to come because of the mess. I volunteered to vacuum and clean. (He NEEDS me!!! All mothers want their children to still need them even though the children really don't need them.)
His home is a 4 level, Italian style home. Tile floors are throughout and there are balconies on every floor. Five small bedrooms which he uses as his bedroom, his wardrobe room, a guest room, a media room, and a storage room.

The main floor (second level) has the living room, dining, kitchen and bathroom. The first level is off the garage. It has a large family room which he doesn't need so he parks his tools and Harley there.

He lives in a very nice neighborhood. I could sit out here all day. (But it's a bachelor pad and there is no outdoor seating.)

Andy took us to dinner downtown (I forgot the name of the city) just outside Naples on the Gulf. We got the local special; pizza margherita. I am ruined!! I will never be able to have an American pizza again! We ate so much pasta, pizza and bread while in Italy. It was all so good. We ate and walked for a week and I came home 4 pounds lighter! Score four for me.

I loved reading about your Italian adventures. I would love to go stay with Andy, but not drive with him, thank you very much.
