Coincidence? I think not.

Chelsea went off to college in 2002.  The next year she adopted Toto.  He was the only roommate she truly loved.  In 2007, she graduated, packed her drums, and left for Los Angeles.  She couldn't take Toto with her because she didn't know where she would land.  We took Toto to live with us in Stansbury Park.  It took a while for Ping to get used to having a 'brother', but it eventually worked out.
We moved to Pennsylvania in the fall of that year.  Toto came with us.  Life was great for the dogs.  They had a half acre fenced in to run around.  The Amish brothers who live on either side of our sub-division share farm equipment so are passing by our house on a daily basis with their horses.  The dogs LOVE to bark and run from one side of the house to the other as the horses pass by.
Chelsea was able to come out at least once, sometimes twice a year to visit.  We would fly her out for Christmas or her birthday if she was able to get off work.  One summer, she was out here on tour with her band so was able to visit.
She was called upon the first of April to stand in with a band that had recently lost their bass player. (Chelsea plays every instrument.) They were set to go on tour in a couple of weeks.  The band is CB7 and is touring with Anberlin and 30 Seconds to Mars.
They played in Fairfax, VA on the 27th of April.  Stephanie's family went to see her there; Chelsea stayed with Stephanie that night; I picked her up on Thursday and she was able to stay with us for two nights before joining up with the bands in Camden, NJ on Saturday.  A week before she got here, Toto had seen the vet for an infection.  His blood count was extremely low so was on medication for that.  On Monday, Toto had a seizure.  He was put on prednisone.  Chelsea got here Thursday.  Toto had another seizure so she had to make the decision to have him put down.  Friday was a HARD day.  Toto suffered 2 more seizures before we made it to the vet that afternoon.  Chelsea was able to be here, hold him, and be with him at the vet.  What a little blessing that she was here.
R.I.P little guy.

This is so sad. I'm crying right now. I always thought Toto was such a cute little guy. I'm glad that Chelsea was able to be there with him.
