Go Orange Lions!!

Just have to document a momentous win for the Lincoln University Lions.   We drove to our appointed parking spot and planted out spirit flag before the game.

We played a team from North Carolina Saturday and won 53-50!!  What a game.  No....you don't understand.  The game is played on the field but the stands nearly exploded.  You know when the fight song is played after a touchdown and everybody stands and claps?  Not at Lincoln U.  At Lincoln U, everybody in the stands dances....and I mean dances to the fight song.  It was the most fun I've had at a football game ever!!  My sister used to say that I must have some black blood in me because of the way I danced. I was SOOO feeling that blood Saturday.  btw - This is the first home game we have won.

I had my spirit blanket with me.  We didn't need our rain poncho, but how cool are they?  1854 for the year that it all began.
The band gets better each game.  I should have video taped it.  They always do a dance segment that is too cool for words.  You just have to see it.  Takes me back to the old days in Norfolk and Booker T. Washington High School band. (The royal blue legs you see amongst the band is the dance team.  These girls shake what their mama gave them the whole game!  Even in the stands.  And some of them have plenty to shake.  They are so much fun to watch.

I love that there is a pronunciation guide to everybody's name in the program.  It makes me feel less white to know how to pronouce their names.  Thank you Lincoln.
