Some things you just can't plan.

I only spent one year at Provo High.  It just happened to be my senior year.  Bummer. But, not so.  I ended up in acapella choir with some of the neatest friends in the world.  Thanks to one of them, thanks Mary, I met and married the love of my life.

After graduation, all of us were BYU bound.  Sometime in the fall (my memory is pretty cloudy here) I had some of the acapella group (girls only) up to my house for dinner.  We were embarking on our new lives and not yet twenty.  And so, unbeknownst to us, it started.

Linda Call, Denice Gardner, Doris Goodwin,
Deanne Richardson, Peggy Webb, Diane Davis, and Cindy Matheny. I guess I was taking the picture.

On the eve year (the year before the year) we would turn 30, these 6 got together at Peggy's house to catch up on the last ten years.  Peggy, Diane, and I (top row) were at the first dinner.
Sandy Olson, Mary Davis, and Debbie Robertson joined us that year, 1982.
Our names were all different, too.  Peggy is now Haynes, Diane Davis is now Wilde, I am now Davis, Sandy is now Bishop as is Mary Davis Bishop who happens to be my sister-in-law.  Sandy and Mary married twin brothers so now Sandy and I share nephews and nieces.  Debbie was newly married and I forget her married name!!  I'll find out and edit this blog.
In 1992, these same 6 girls got together for lunch at the Olive Garden.  It was now the eve of our 40th year!!  We were obviously too involved in children, sports, dancing, music, husbands, and church callings to even think of taking a picture.  Too bad.

2002 and more relaxed.  The 6 of us with Jeannette Dastrup and Laura Moses thrown in for fun, gathered once again to look '50' square in the face.  Yep.  I think 2003 will be a very good year.

Time flies on wings of lightening!!!  Can it really be 10 more years?!! On October 11th, the six of us met yet again in the Olive Garden and caught up.  So much has happened in the last ten years.  Our lives have been through trials and we are humbled.  We are happy.  The spirit bore witness to each of us this day that there is a higher power in charge and we are thankful.  I am so glad we didn't plan this.
