Alicia just tagged me.

Alicia is my favorite niece named Alicia.  I was tagged once before by another niece, Kimberly.  I promise to not even look at that tagged blog thing as I answer these questions from Alicia.  I wonder how different I am now some 4 years later.
I can't wait to finish this and then read the other one. So exciting!
First, I am to write 5 things about me.
1.)  It is because of my nephew, David, that I first started blogging.  It looks like my nieces and nephews are pretty important in my life.  They are, and I love them dearly.  Back to the blog that I started.  It was such a convenient way to journal (with pictures!) that I was motivated to get my life story written.  I did and it is done.  The book actually came today. (Oh yes it did!) See?
2.)   As the third child of nine in a Navy family, I attended 7 schools before graduating from high school.  Those lucky 3 little girls didn't have the same problems I did.  I was very shy (believe it or not) and hated having to make new friends.
3.)My favorite calling in the church is Young Women's President.  I hate camp, I hate all the extra meetings, but I adore the girls I have been able to serve.  I have had the calling 3 times now.  Price, Moab, and my current ward, Bayview in North East, Maryland. My first set of young women are now grandmothers! Some of you ladies read my blog!  I love you!!
4.)  My mother was a classical pianist.  Two of my sisters sing with the Utah Valley Baroque ensemble.  There is so much classical music talent in my family.  A sister plays the flute, the brother played(s) the baritone and trombone, a sister and niece play the violin, a niece plays the harp, multiple nieces play the piano as do multiple nephews.  We are such a music family.  I love rock music.   I know.  Such a rebel.  I started taking the violin and hated it.  I took piano and fought it.  Throw me in a rock band with a keyboard and a chord chart and I am in heaven.
5.)The turning point in my life forever was when I embraced forgiveness.  I am so happy now.  Did you know that if you never judge someone....you will never have to forgive them?  So I don't judge, I don't accept other's judgements of me.  Try to make me mad.  You can't.  I've already forgiven you before you say anything or do anything.  Life is wonderful.
That's 5.  Now on to Alicia's questions.
1.  If you could do anything and money was no matter, what would you do?
I would fly my children, their spouses, and my 5 grandchildren to Disneyland.  My hubby and I would, of course, meet them there.  We would stay at the Disneyland Hotel and have fun for a week.
2.  What is your favorite memory?
No fair.  Too many.  Standing in the program bureau office on BYU campus and having Charlie Davis walk in and hug me after having been gone for 2 years on his mission to Japan.
3.  Who had the biggest impact on who you are today?
That's easy.  My husband.  We have been through so much together during our 38 years of marriage.  Not all of it easy or nice.  We made it and it is heaven.  We have become each other.  The things that bugged me about him, I do.  The things that bugged him about me, he now does. And we both SO understand.  We do little things for each other all the time.  Every little thing is an I love you and would marry you again.  Did I say how happy I am?
4.  If you could be a celebrity, who would you be and why?
Don't laugh.  My first thought was Marie Osmond.  She got to be on Dancing with the Stars and I love to dance!  She gets to sing and perform.  Yea, I did that already but now I'm too old and nobody wants to hear me anymore.
5.  What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas, duh.
6.  What is your favorite movie?
The Princess Bride
7.  Who is your biggest role model.
That's super easy.  My Savior
8.  What is your best vacation location?
Rome
9.  What are your goals for the year?
Dejunk my house, get to the temple more, drive up to Niagra Falls with Charlie.
10.  What were you like in high school?
Solid A/B student but was more worried about my place in the social scene than grades.  I know, pretty shallow.  But, remember I was always trying to make new friends and fit in somewhere, anywhere!  Thank heavens for music.  I always fit in the choirs.  Student government for the social only.  Didn't care about the school.  Cheerleader....so social!
11.  What makes you happy?
Sitting in church, holding hands with my husband.
Going to Lowes with my husband.
Riding on a plane with my husband.
Driving in a car with my husband.
Pretty much anything with him.  It was our anniversary last week.  38 years and counting.  I am soooo happy.

Loved reading this. I want to be like you when I grow up...especially the first #5. We've got to talk about that someday. I would love to hear more about how you got there.
