What I did on my Christmas vacation.

Merry Christmas morning!  Now get up and get ready for church.  After church we headed straight down I-95 to be with the Johnsons in Herndon, Virginia.

Zoe and Miles opened the presents we brought.
Thanks to Netflix we had Christmas music and a roaring fire.
I made animal neck pillows for my grandkids.  Zoe and Miles loved thiers.  So did Grandpa.
Food, puzzles, and games rounded out the day.
On Monday we went to the Air and Space Museum just 5 miles from the Johnson's house.
Huge museum, I mean HUGE museum.  It's part of the Smithsonian.  They have used an older part of the Dulles Airport and housed all the aircraft too big to fit downtown D.C.  Here is Charlie and Zoe in front of the Corsair my dad flew off an aircraft carrier during World War II.

Helicopter Charlie flew in many times in Viet Nam
My dad test flew this F4 Phantom when we lived in St. Louis.  I remember getting to sit in the cockpit one day while visiting the base.
The Space shuttle.  Did I mention it was a HUGE museum?
Just had to take a picture of this hair with a body underneath it.
Thanks Johnsons!

Oh, but Christmas isn't over yet.  We are having the Johnsons up to our place January 6-8 for another Christmas.  Uncle Crusher (Andy) will be back in the states after 2 years in Italy and 6 months in Afghanistan.  We are holding up Christmas for him.  We get to do it all over again!!  This will be the longest I will have kept my Christmas decorations up, but it's all for a good cause.
