I flew home August 8th still hobbling. Rest - more ice - hobble hobble - it will get better.
The next week my other foot started to hurt. Maybe I was hobbling too much. Oh no! Another ingrown toenail? Maybe it will get better. Bacitracin and band-aids, hobble, hobble, pain, rest.
The hobble, hobble got weirder and weirder as I tried to walk while staying off both feet.
I finally threw in the towel and went to the podiatrist today. I guess it's not going to get better.
He performed more surgery on my left big toe. Had to take more nail and kill the nailbed.
He is sending me to the hospital for 2 MRI's. (It will make Charlie happy to know his hospital is going to get more money. Glad I could help, Dear.) The doctor thinks I have pulled or possibly torn a couple of ligaments. One in the foot and the other up the ankle. Maybe that's why it hurts all the way up my leg if I step wrong. There is also the possibility that this tiny bone broke off. MRI will tell. If the bone is floating around....surgery. If the ligaments are torn, physical therapy. If not....just lots of rest and possible physical therapy. This getting old thing is getting to be very tiresome!
