I pick UNHEALTHY

The medical books, doctors, and nutritionists all say that as we age, and to be healthy, we should eat:
Spinch and other dark, leafy greens
Dark colored fruits
High fiber bran and whole wheat breads and cereals
Nuts, all kinds.  Best raw. (Handful of almonds a day.)
Soy milk and other soy products

My urologist says, after all my tests came back, said to avoid these high oxalate foods:
Spinach and other dark, leafy greens
Dark colored fruits
High fiber bran and whole wheat breads and cereals
Nuts, all kinds.  Best raw. (No almonds ever.)
Soy milk and other soy products.

Low oxalate foods?
Buttermilk, milk, bacon, beef, cheese, eggs, ham, pork, poultry, butter and margerine, corn and rice cereals. graham crackers, fig newtons, macaroni, lemonade/limeade, beer, broccoli, avacado, lettuce, cauliflower, onions, corn syrup, jello, maple syrup, sugar, ketchup, apples, coconut, melons, OJ, canned peaches and pears, grapes, cherries, dill, white pepper......I'm going on a binge.

Speaking of kidney stones,  while I was under the influence and in bed, I read a book on the year 1949. (The year my betrothed was born.)  Some interesting items and quotes to follow.
"The question being asked is will the atom shatter the world to fragments or will it be a boon to mankind?  Will man destroy himself or use his power to make his existence a paradise?"
Looks like man has pretty much done both by 2013.

"South Carolina became the last state in the union to legalize divorce."
And look what has happened since?  Today the Supreme Court overturned Prop 8 in California and has all but given the go ahead for gay marriage to be as common as divorce.  It's not going to take the atom for man to destroy himself.

"House of Representative Richard Nixon opposes the monthly bonuses for war vets on grounds that they are too costly."
At least they were giving money to people who earned it.

"Join now and save The Christmas club way.  Save for the future.  This is how democracy works.  Act for yourself now...You can't depend on others."
They obviously had no clue what the government was going to do.  Too many people now ARE depending on others.  Me and you, the hardworking taxpayer.
Getting off my soapbox now.  Have a good day.
